FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much direction or oversight does the homeowner need to provide?
A. Direction and instructions, yes. Oversight is up to you. The first visit, we will go over home rules, what you need help with, where things are, etc. I will ask a lot of questions and make sure we have a clear understanding of care needs, expectations, and boundaries. From there you can choose your level of involvement. I have clients who are by my side the entire time, and others who are working, and need me to just get it all done.
Q. How much do you charge?
A. It really does vary so much! There are services where I do ALL THE THINGS. But I can also be a consultant to help you see your home with fresh eyes.
Home organization projects start at $70/hr with a recommendation for at least a four-hour block of time. Weekly and monthly home maintenance plans start at $60/hr. On an average weekly visit I usually spend four hours and get everything on your list taken care of.

Q. Do you stop in once a week… or how does this work?
A. I’m available for one-time projects and also ongoing care. We can build a custom plan that’s right for you. With ongoing care, I will get to know your routines and can cater to your specific needs on every visit. You will have ongoing organization and to-do list tackling. The goal here is that YOU get to enjoy YOUR life, while I tackle the annoying stuff.

Q. Can you hang my chandelier, fix my door frame, lay this flooring…. etc?
A. Not so much. I am not a contractor. A good way to think about my work is like this: If your project requires more than a level and drill, then I’m likely not your person. I have worked with very talented people over the years and can help you find the right person for the job, including helpers who handle custom woodworking, art instruction for kids, traditional handyperson services, floral arrangements and much more.

There is no great term for what I do, because no one is doing it yet. My goal is to help keep the wheels on, so you can enjoy everything you work so hard for. I’m not a cleaner per se, but I’ll switch out your laundry if you need me to. I’m a parents “right hand”. And I’m really good at resetting, organizing and making things functional.

Q. I want my home to look like a catalog. Can you do that?
A. Yep. I helped create those catalogs, and I led those styling teams. I can make your home look like that. I can use what you have and optimize it, or I can show you what to buy, or I can buy it for you. The answer is yes, 100%.

Q. Why are garage, attic, basement, and storage locker organizations more expensive than household chores?
A. This is very physical labor. Garages tend to have heavy and sharp objects, dust, bugs and more. Attics can be tiny, hard to get into and musty. Hallways are narrow in older homes. Stairs are a factor. You get the picture. But more than anything else, it's very hard work, and I really hustle.

Q. How do I pay you?
A. I accept Venmo, Zelle, credit cards and cash.
